Matt Edit: With this new site update, I am happy to report that the server is currently at 95% completed. Meaning, the only thing left for us as Admins to do is set up a Server shop that is currently being built. The fact the server is at 95% doesn't mean a lot to you guys, but what you can expect is hopefully a jump in play count as we try to advertise the server for more users. I know we want to keep the close knit feeling the server has, but no server like us should stand to have only 1 player online during the day.

I also would like to apologize on behalf of the entire Staff of Mining Bros in the delay in getting the server back up to speed again. We've promised a lot of things, but please forgive us on that. We've also lost a lot of good members over the months the server has been "dead" but, I hope if you see this update you will take the time to log on with us again and visit your Bros.

Today I finally managed to roll out the new donor ranks promised long ago! Just a quick update with what you get!

• Donator kit level 1

• Awarded 300 BroCreds
• Now earn 150 BroCreds per hour instead of 100.

• The chat lets you post links in game chat.
• Awarded 600 BroCreds
• Now earn 200 BroCreds per hour instead of 150.

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE!
This applies to all current donators, as a thanks for waiting so long for this update.
Instead of the default brocred bonus...
Level1 donors received 500bc
Level2 donors received 1000bc
Level3 donors received 2000bc
Level4 donors received 5000bc!!!!

On top of that all of the active level 1 donors got bumped up to level 2 for free!

Use /econ to check your money and /econ income to check your income bracket.

This plugin works a bit differently than most Economy plugins. You earn X amount of creds per server hour. Basically its like how you are paid at your job. You are paid for the total amount of minutes signed on for that server hour. The server hour is based on its internal clock, not from when you log in. Say its 20 minutes past the current server hour when you log on. You play for 40 minutes, then the server pays you for the 40 minutes you played based on your hour rate.

What do these commands do?

/sethome & /home | This command gives you a personal warp.

/locate | sets your compass to point in the direction of another player if you want to find them /locate [player] or just typ /locate to reset it back to spawn.

/warp | certain places will have warp specific names that you will able to teleport to at your own convenience

/tpa & /tpahere | are teleport requests, you can tp to other users if they accept or tp them to you if they accept

/back | when you die type this command and it warps you back to where you died. If you died in lava or by suffocation from a block it wont be able to help you though.

Sign Colors| This plugin lets you use minecraft color & formatting codes on your signs. Use &l for bold &n for underline &m for strike-though and &o for italics sometimes &r (reset) needs to be used to stop the formatting. Use these codes like this &lHey or &eThis is a test how you type it&r

Greetings fellow Brotopians. Ive come bringing gifts of news and joy. After our long wait since the host had bought out the server. We are finally back up at 90%! Its pretty much safe to say that I will be take over the server upgrades and plugin updating for the time being. After we had switched to the new host, the lag was awful. Mostly due to some plugins being out of date or conflicting with each other. To fix this issue I had to start from scratch, and reinstall the majority of our plugins + add a few over the past few weeks. Im at a point where I am comfortable to have the server back up on its official map (again.) So everyone can resume normal building activity. Its not where I would like it to be yet, but its good enough for now. Expect me to be working behind the scenes and to have a couple server restarts for a few more days while I work on more things.

One thing EVERYONE needs to be aware of. This process has completely broke everyone's Chest and Door protections. I cannot urge everyone enough to get on and lock your checks back up using /cprivate or /lock and punching the chest or door. ONLY LOCK YOUR STUFF If we find that you are locking other players chests, doors, and stealing you will be punished! This is your only warning. Everyones old inventorys should be back!

If you haven't noticed yet links are click-able in minecraft as of 1.2.5 only admins can post links, but anyone can click them. You can test this out by clicking any of the underlined text when you login. Donors will eventually be able to post links as part of the donor level initiative that we promised long ago (more on that in a bit.)

What about an economy and shop plugin?!
Technically they are installed and working. I just have them set to disabled while I finish working on the configs and having them set up correctly.

One of the benefits of the new Economy plugin (BOSEconomy) is that it lets us do what the old plugin (iConomy) could not do. Set up different rates of income on rank. Again something that was needed for our Donor level initiative. Because of this, we should fairly well expect the roll out of the donor stuff in the near future. (Priorities and such) And those donors who have waited so long for the ranks, we WILL make it up to you <--- SEE WINKY FACE!


To end this post, I would like to address some staffing changes.

Itz_Cheez3 has stepped down from administrator position.
XFr1ct10nx has accepted the position as an admin in training, and is currently sporting the admin rank. Congratulate him if you haven't!

Due to inactivity with our mods, for the time being, mbotto, and freshrprince have been demoted from their moderator positions.
We are not looking for new mods at this time as the admin staff is strongly active. Please dont ask. And on that note, please dont beg or ask for creative, else you will get Thor'd by myself and lose whatever items you have on you. Its annoying, so stop asking.
